Archangel Accounting was founded by Julia Jones in 2007, following her chartered accountancy training with PwC and many years gaining a broad range of experience with key finance positions in industry.

Since then, the business has grown to include a team of more than 20 people that provides a range of finance solutions, primarily to startups in the life sciences sector, in the UK and the USA.

Julia remains an active team member and leads a company that is friendly, positive, reactive, problem-solving, and responsible. The aim is to work with you and for you to maximise your business needs.

“I’m Julia, the founder and director of Archangel Accounting, and I have a real passion for business and finding great people to work with; people that inspire me to deliver the best accounting that I can. My training with PwC gave me a fantastic professional base from which to grow and discover my talents.

I wanted to build a company that was different from your typical high street accountancy firm. A move away from slow accounts delivery, ‘computer says no’, and being unresponsive in the busy season. I wanted to put a smile on the face of the people I do business with and to prove that an efficient, accurate, and positive delivery from an accountancy firm is possible.

The part of our services I most enjoy is leadership, coaching, and mentoring. I love being part of a company’s management team and being key in enabling a company to grow and establish itself. On my journey, I have found many talented office managers and bookkeepers that I have mentored and nurtured to grow their accounting talents. I love to watch and assist this growth and help others realise their potential.

The journey of a startup business is an adventure – it can be fun, at times challenging, and with success, rewarding.
