As a CFO, it’s so important to combine a deep understanding of finances with strong leadership skills to maximise the benefits of a company’s finance function. To be part of the team, embedding a positive sense of finance management but also allowing a company to flow is at the heart of success. To influence, to be flexible, to be active, to listen and to be heard is key. Acting as a mentor and allowing others to grow and flourish, both within the company and within our own team is important. There is no I in team as there is no I in being a CFO.
